We are thrilled to announce that the European Partnership for Virtual Worlds was launched on 10 December 2025, with a Memorandum of Understanding between the European Commission and the Virtual Worlds Association.
The Partnership brings together industry, academia, research organisations, and end-users to advance R&D&I in these key technologies. Signed by Executive Vice-President of the Commission Henna Virkkunen and Virtual Worlds Association President Matthieu Worm, this collaboration represents over 400 million euros invested to advance European tech sovereignty.
